A bodywork technique to promote health and relaxation which includes rubbing with hot stones. Still practiced today today, a common practice with some indigenous peoples. In Hawaii this stone therapy has been used for hundreds of years and continues even today. It has a balancing effect on the chakras and the meridian system, and strengthens the entire organism.
In the last years this has become one of the most well-known and popular forms of massage.
Based on the book Hot Stone Massage by Dagmar Fleck and Liane Jochum.
